Sarah’s Labyrinth Dress

Very recently I had the honor and pleasure to make Sarah’s Ballgown from the iconic movie Labyrinth with David Bowie for lovely Kadri from Moonage Daydream. She wore it to a convention and provided me with a bunch a pictures.

She decided on a version made from white tafetta with an overlay of crystal organdy in white as well. The dress bodice is lined with cotton and has boning to give it more structure. It closes in tha back with lacing. The sleeves are giant of course as is the skirt.

Vor kurzem durfte ich Sarahs Ballkleid aus dem Film Labyrinth mti David Bowie für Kadri von Moonage Daydream machen. Sie hat es zu einer Convention getragen und mir ein paar wunderschöne Fotos geschickt.
Sie wollte das Kleid aus Taft mit einem Overlay aus Crystal-Organza. Das Oberteil ist komplett mit Baumwolle gefüttert und mit Stäbchen verstärkt für einen besseren Sitz. Es schließt mit einer Rückenschnürung. Die Ärmel sind natürlich der Vorlage entsprechend richtig groß und der Rock richtig weit.
